New models: Jetour T-series

Jetour has officially launched its new T-series in South Africa, introducing the striking T1 and T2 SUVs to local roads. Built for those who crave a mix of style, comfort and capability, these two models combine everyday practicality with a spirit of exploration – a formula that has already made Jetour’s off-road range a success in markets around the world.

Since arriving locally last year, Jetour has steadily built a reputation for offering well-priced vehicles with a strong focus on quality and premium features. The new T-series takes that promise further, bringing to market SUVs designed for adventure-seekers who want more than just a daily commuter. Both the compact T1 and the more rugged T2 deliver on the brand’s ‘Travel+’ philosophy, blending luxury, performance and technology in equal measure.

Compact capability – the Jetour T1

Designed for drivers who split their time between the city and the open road, the Jetour T1 is compact, versatile and smartly equipped. Four variants will be available locally: the 1.5TD 2WD Edge, 1.5TD 2WD Aspire, 2.0TD 4WD Xplora and the range-topping 2.0TD 4WD Odyssey.

Power comes from a choice of two turbocharged petrol engines – the 1.5TD produces 125kW, while the 2.0TD delivers an impressive 180kW – both paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The Xplora and Odyssey models add an intelligent 4WD system and a choice of eight driving modes including Sport, Snow, Mud, Sand and X-mode, giving the T1 surprising capability across varied terrain.

On the outside, every T1 model features 540-degree panoramic cameras, rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring, LED lighting, roof racks and privacy glass. It’s practical yet polished, ticking all the boxes for those who want an SUV that’s ready for anything.

Inside, Jetour has paid attention to both comfort and technology. A spacious and refined cabin welcomes driver and passengers with ergonomic seating, smart storage and an impressively quiet drive thanks to dual-layer soundproof glass. The Xplora and Odyssey gain a 15.6-inch infotainment display, while the Odyssey further spoils occupants with a Sony 9-speaker surround sound system.

Pricing for the Jetour T1 starts at R514 900 for the Edge, followed by the Aspire at R544 900, the Xplora at R594 900, and the flagship Odyssey at R634 900.

Adventure refined – the Jetour T2

For those who like their adventures a little bolder, the Jetour T2 takes the formula further. Larger and more rugged in appearance, the T2 offers the versatility to handle long-distance travel, rougher trails and everyday use with equal confidence.

Three versions make up the local line-up: the 1.5TD 2WD Aspire with 125kW and 270Nm, and two 4WD options – the 2.0TD Xplora and 2.0TD Odyssey, both producing 180kW and 375Nm. All T2 models feature a 70-litre fuel tank and come in a range of colours including Onyx Black, Glacier White, Aqua Green and Lunar Silver.

Jetour has ensured that the T2 delivers on comfort and convenience too. Every variant includes 540-degree panoramic view cameras, tyre pressure monitoring, LED lighting throughout, roof racks, heated mirrors and privacy glass. The Aspire adds a space-saver spare wheel for practicality, while higher trims enhance their premium feel with illuminated door sills and more refined finishes throughout the cabin.

The T2 Odyssey also stands out for its generous size – at 4 785mm long, 2 006mm wide and 1 880mm high, it offers plenty of space for passengers and gear alike. It’s the ideal companion for a family adventure or an off-road escape.

Prices for the Jetour T2 start at R569 900 for the Aspire, R639 900 for the Xplora, and R679 900 for the range-topping Odyssey.

The new face of Jetour in South Africa

With the launch of the T-series, Jetour has positioned itself as a brand that understands South African drivers – people who want practicality, presence and premium features without paying a small fortune. The T1 and T2 both bring something fresh to the SUV segment, offering tech-laden cabins, strong performance, and plenty of personality.

If the success of Jetour’s earlier models is anything to go by, the new T-series should find a warm welcome among local adventure lovers looking for something different.
