JOHANNESBURG, South Africa, 9 June 2026 – Stellantis South Africa is showcasing its expanding commercial vehicle portfolio at Big 5 Construct South Africa, one of the country’s leading construction and infrastructure industry events. Through its dedicated Stellantis Pro One business unit, the global automaker is highlighting practical and cost-effective mobility solutions designed to support businesses driving South Africa’s growth.
Held from 9 to 11 June at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg, Big 5 Construct South Africa brings together contractors, developers, engineers, architects and suppliers from across the construction value chain. The exhibition follows the recent South African launch of the PEUGEOT Partner, the newest addition to the Stellantis Pro One line-up.
Stellantis Pro One sold approximately 1.65 million vehicles globally in 2025 and currently ranks as the second-largest commercial vehicle brand in the Middle East and Africa region, underlining its growing presence in the sector.
“Construction runs on movement. Materials, tools, crews and equipment all need to reach their destination on time and at a cost that makes sense. That makes the vehicle a working tool, not simply transport,” said Moeketsi Mapogo, Stellantis Brand Head: Pro One LCV.
“We want to demonstrate to the sector that Stellantis Pro One has a fit-for-purpose solution for almost every job on site, from the first delivery to the final handover.”
Commercial Vehicles on Display
Visitors to the Stellantis stand can experience a wide range of commercial mobility solutions, including:
- PEUGEOT Partner in both short- and long-wheelbase configurations
- PEUGEOT Landtrek Single Cab
- PEUGEOT Landtrek Double Cab
- Citroën Hola Panel Van
- FIAT TRIS
PEUGEOT Partner Takes Centre Stage
One of the key highlights is the recently launched PEUGEOT Partner, designed to deliver efficiency and practicality for businesses operating in demanding environments.
The compact van offers:
- Up to 4.4 m³ of load volume
- Payload capacity of up to 1,000 kg
- Claimed fuel consumption of just 5.1 L/100 km
- Dual sliding side doors for easier loading
- 180-degree rear doors for improved access in confined spaces
- A modern cabin featuring a 10-inch digital instrument cluster
- A 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system
- A comprehensive suite of safety and driver-assistance technologies
According to Mapogo, the new Partner demonstrates how low operating costs, generous cargo space and excellent manoeuvrability can help businesses maximise productivity.
“The new Partner is a strong example of how low fuel consumption, practical load space and the ability to operate efficiently in busy urban environments, supported by a comprehensive aftersales network, can help keep businesses moving,” he said.
A Global Strategy for Professional Customers
The vehicles showcased at Big 5 Construct form part of Stellantis Pro One’s broader global strategy. Under the company’s FaSTLAne2030 strategic plan, Stellantis recently announced two new multi-energy van platforms based on its STLA Brain architecture, while expanding beyond vehicle manufacturing into a comprehensive ecosystem of services tailored to professional customers.
“What sits behind these vehicles matters just as much as the vehicles themselves,” Mapogo explained. “Stellantis Pro One is evolving from being simply a vehicle supplier into a full business partner, and South Africa is part of that vision. For construction customers, that translates into greater support, improved uptime and a long-term commitment to the market.”
He added that South Africa and the broader Sub-Saharan African region remain key growth markets for the company.
“Customers can expect a steadily expanding range of products, all built around the same promise of delivering practical mobility solutions that help businesses achieve more with less.”
