The final round of the 2024 South African Rally-Raid Championship (SARRC), the Renault KEC 400, promises an electrifying conclusion this weekend at the Legends Adventure Farm near Rhino Park, just 60 km from Pretoria. Taking place on Friday and Saturday, 8-9 November, the event will feature TOYOTA GAZOO Racing South Africa (TGRSA) aiming to crown their remarkable season with another strong showing.

Henk Lategan and Brett Cummings have already clinched the 2024 SARRC title after their recent triumph at the Phakisa 400. However, the battle for second place remains intense. Guy Botterill and Dennis Murphy currently hold the advantage, but Giniel de Villiers and Elvéne Vonk are still in contention, with a slim chance of moving up to second. Regardless of the final standings, TGRSA has secured a stunning 1-2-3 finish for the 2024 season, underscoring their dominance this year.
As TGRSA prepares for the Renault KEC 400, their Toyota Hilux IMT EVO vehicles will once again demonstrate their proven performance and resilience. The course at Legends Adventure Farm, set amid scenic but challenging terrain, combines fast, open sections with rugged, rocky paths to push both drivers and vehicles to the limit. Weather predictions indicate rain on Friday, with warm, cloudy conditions over the weekend, ensuring a mix of racing challenges for the teams.

The Renault KEC 400 is organised as a Super Event, kicking off with the 20-kilometre Castrol Qualifying Race on Friday at 10:15, setting the starting order for Stage One. Following this, an 85-kilometre sprint begins at 13:15, providing a thrilling opening to the weekend’s action.
On Saturday, the rally intensifies with two back-to-back stages, each covering a gruelling 175 km. Stage Two begins at 08:00, guiding the teams through a variety of terrains, including mountainous rocky stretches, river crossings, and cultivated fields. The route also cuts through a game farm, offering a mix of fast tracks and technical challenges. After a 30-minute service break at the Designated Service Park (DSP) at Legends Adventure Farm, the teams will tackle Stage Three, fighting for the last points of the season before the podium celebrations back at headquarters.

Given the proximity to Gauteng, motorsport fans are invited to witness top-tier rally-raid action up close. Spectators can watch from several excellent vantage points along the route or visit the DSP at Legends Adventure Farm, where food and refreshments will be available.
As the SARRC season comes to a close, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing South Africa will soon set their sights on the prestigious Dakar Rally in January 2025 in Saudi Arabia. With their dominant performance in the South African circuit, TGRSA will be ready to take on one of the most challenging races on the international stage.
Fans can follow the Renault KEC 400 live via the RallySafe app, available on the iStore and Google Play Store, and stay updated through the SARRC and TOYOTA GAZOO Racing SA social media channels.
