The South African Adventure Industry Association (SA AIA) has announced the official launch of its 4×4 & Overlanding Chapter, the first in a series of dedicated chapters aimed at addressing the unique needs within South Africa’s vibrant adventure tourism industry.
As the first chapter of its kind under SA AIA, the 4×4 & Overlanding Chapter focuses specifically on professionals and businesses involved in 4×4 and off-road adventure activities. However, this is just the beginning – as SA AIA continues to grow, more chapters will be established to serve the needs of various sectors it represents, from school camps and corporate team building to the broader adventure guiding industry.
Johan du Plooy, a highly experienced 4×4 Adventure Guide, has been appointed as the acting chairpersonof the chapter. Johan is a key figure in the 4×4 industry, and his extensive knowledge and experience have earned him a seat on SA AIA’s National Executive Committee (NEC), where he represents the interests of the 4×4 and overlanding sector.
