JLR is once again putting safety first in South Africa with its ninth annual Holiday Heroes campaign, offering complimentary pre-trip vehicle checks and dedicated roadside assistance for the busy festive season. Running from 10 December 2025 to 14 January 2026, the initiative aims to ensure clients can travel with confidence and peace of mind during year-end road trips.
For 2025, the campaign introduces a vital addition: a complimentary pre-trip vehicle safety inspection at JLR retailers nationwide. This preventive measure checks all critical vehicle functions, helping owners avoid breakdowns and ensuring vehicles are ready for the demands of long-distance travel.
On the road, Holiday Heroes deploys a fleet of emergency response vehicles along some of South Africa’s busiest routes, including the N3 between Johannesburg and Durban, the N4 between Pretoria and Mbombela, and for the first time, the N1 from Pretoria to Polokwane. These mobile units provide rapid, 24-hour roadside assistance exactly where it’s needed.
Accessing support is straightforward. Owners can call local or international numbers for assistance, while InControl-enabled vehicles allow an instant connection through onboard eCall or bCall buttons. Drivers are encouraged to update emergency contacts and medical aid information before embarking on trips.
The campaign extends across all JLR brands, including Defender, Discovery, Jaguar, and Range Rover.
