“It looked stunning on Instagram, but would it actually survive a week in the Botswana bush?

Suzuki’s original Eeco ‘van life’ build certainly turned heads, but after a few nights under the stars, the reality set in: if you wanted to sleep inside, you had to move half your gear into the bushes. No storage, an inaccessible battery, and a bed length that only a hobbit could love!

We’ve decided it’s time for an intervention. We are stripping the Eeco down to a blank canvas to create ‘Van Life 2.0’. We’re talking integrated drawer systems, a proper 55L fridge, and moving the sleeping quarters to the roof to reclaim the interior for what matters—storage and utility.

Watch as we break down what went wrong and our plan to turn this pretty micro-van into a practical African explorer.
