Easy recipes – Festive drinks

It’s the most wonderful time of the year – a time to eat, drink and be merry as you enjoy the company of friends and loved ones. It’s also a time for celebration and what better way to do so than with homemade drinks that will impress your guests. And you don’t have to spend a considerable chunk of your budget at the liquor store either. These are all relatively inexpensive and super easy to prepare.

Peppermint Crisp shooters

Ingredients

(Makes three to four servings)

50ml vodka

80ml condensed milk

2 tablespoons fresh cream

1 bar of Peppermint Crisp chocolate

Method

Combine the vodka, condensed milk and cream and shake or stir well. Pour the mixture into shot glasses. You can now top each glass with a generous layer of grated Peppermint Crisp chocolate. Alternatively, you may want to serve each shooter with a block of Peppermint Crisp on the side. To enjoy it this way, pop the block of chocolate into your mouth, empty the shot glass, and chew.
